The cut and cover structure is intended for the crossing of wild animals and the principal road over the motorway. The shallow arch-shaped cut and cover structure with a single span around 40 m was constructed due to favourable geological conditions and sufficient depth of the cuts. Portals are inclined so the total width of the structure is 40 m at the apex of arch and 60 m at the foundations. The structure consists of three longitudinal segments. The height of embankment is approximately 2.0m above the apex of the arch.
The solution is economical, high tech and enables animal-friendly passing over the motorway as well as creates aesthetically pleasing effects on the users.
